Blues guitarist DC Carnes to release new album for Cleveland locals only

MARCH 16, 2022 — CHARLES "DC" CARNES has been entertaining the world for more than 30 years. The Akron-born, Elyria-based musician is a well-known and dedicated bluesman. DC, who was Robert Lockwood Jr.'s longtime guitarist takes inspiration from such Blues greats as: Muddy Waters, Mississippi John Hurt, John Lee Hooker, Sonny Boy Williamson ll, Son House, Robert Johnson, and, of course, Lockwood himself.
His impending album Delta Crossroads - Vol II, which will see it's Cleveland-exclusive physical release on Sunday, March 27, pays tribute to many blues classics such as "i got to find me a woman" (Robert Lockwood, Jr.), "sweet home chicago" (Robert Johnson), "memphis" (Chuck Berry) and many more. The record was cut live over 2 days at Superior Sound Recordings in Cleveland. It includes contributions from several of northeast Ohio's finest musicians: Justin Gorski (piano), William Watson (bass) and Rod Reisman (drums).

DC has traveled around the globe playing with all the masters. Come join him for a Cleveland-exclusive soft CD release show on March 27th at the Beachland Ballroom. He will be performing live with everyone who played on the record. This performance is a celebration for DC Carnes and a Happy Birthday to Robert Lockwood Jr., who will have turned 107 years old. Austin Walkin' Cane, who is also celebrating a birthday, will warm up the crowd with one of his stellar solo performances.
